Shingo is one of the leading experts in cell biology/engineering and his lab is mainly focusing to uncover the molecular circuits that control adipose cell development and function by employing a wide range of molecular biology, developmental biology and biochemical approaches together with mouse genetics.
Shingo is a young talented scientist and has recently been awarded The Helmholtz Young Investigator in Diabetes Award and the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers (from US Government).
